RED KALI

Red Kali is not to be confused with Red Bali (our Royal Red Bali). Though the two strains share several similarities, they are not the same. There is some debate among vendors, suppliers, and producers as to what actually makes the difference in the strain colors. Some say it’s the result of leaves being harvested later in the season when the veins turn red. Others say it’s a result of different processing methods. In either case, Red Kali — and red kratom strains in general — are known to have a higher concentration of the alkaloid 7-OH-mitragynine.
This is one of the most potent and powerful alkaloids in the kratom plant. It’s known for causing sedation and reducing pain. As kratom is dried, fermented, and exposed to oxygen, a chemical conversion takes place. Mitragynine — an alkaloid known for causing stimulation — converts to 7-OH-mitragynine. This chemical conversion also turns the leaf veins red. This is the reason for both the color and different effects of Red Kali kratom. Kali kratom strains have many benefits — however, remember these may change somewhat depending on your dose. High doses of Red Kali kratom cause more relaxing benefits, whereas low doses can lead to focus and stimulation.
